[English]
Low-intensity endurance training can have a positive effect on nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. Studies have shown that such training can help reduce fat in the liver and improve liver enzyme profiles. The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of eight weeks of low-intensity endurance training on the expression of the genes preptin and eotaxin in rats with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. Thirty-two 10-week-old rats weighting 220±20 g were randomly assigned to four groups: A: healthy control, B: fatty liver, C: LIET, and D: fatty liver + LIET. In this study, rats were modeled as fatty liver by consuming fatty food for 8 weeks. The LIET training protocol was a regular set on a treadmill, running at a constant speed of 18 m/min in each session. They covered this distance for 18 minutes in the first week, 30 minutes in the second week, 36 minutes in the third week, and 45 minutes in the fourth week onwards. The expression levels of the preptin and eotaxin genes in liver tissue were measured. Data analysis was performed using one-way analysis of variance and Tukey's post hoc test at a significant level of P ≤ 0.05. The results showed that eight weeks of low-intensity endurance training resulted in a significant decrease in the expression of the perpetin and eotaxin genes in liver tissue compared to the control group (P = 0.001). It can be stated that this training program improves the level of adipokines in fatty liver disease.
